One asks for an answer to prayer again and again and again; then stops because nothing seems to be happening. God’s answer to prayer can be so interwoven in the fabric of life that sometimes, before one knows it, one’s lived past its fulfillment. Enjoying the fruits of the answered prayer, one happens to look back one day and realizes, “God’s answered the prayer! He did it!”

God does not call attention to what He does. God does not answer prayer to make His name greater (for His name is above all names). God answers prayer because He loves…simply because He loves.

God cannot be rushed. He answers prayer according to His ways, His thoughts, and His timing. One sure would find no reason to complain when one knows and embraces the truth that God’s ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts (Is. 55:8-9).

How does God answer prayer? He answers prayer according to His wisdom. He answers prayer according to the newness of His faithfulness every morning. He answers prayer according to the fullness of His love for you.
